Why an Instagram Course?
After spending five years figuring out the ins and outs of Instagram marketing for my business, I thought “why should everyone have to go through this trial and error?”
I have seen so many businesses start over the last 5 years. The enthusiasm of the owners is tangible. But after a few months or even weeks, they go silent. They disappear.
I’ve also seen women start Instagram accounts for their businesses and cringed when they made the same mistakes I have made.
The purpose of this course is to help you not to make those mistakes.
It’s to let you approach your Instagram account with confidence, so that you can provide consistent value to your audience and grow your business long-term.

How much does the Instagram course cost?
The price of the Instagram course is R1500. However, the first 100 women who sign up for the course will receive a 30% discount and pay only R1050 for the course. This discount is applied automatically at checkout.
In which format is the course presented?
The course is presented as slides with a voiceover recording. It consists of an Introduction and 10 Lessons which can be watched on this website.
The script for the voice recording (in other words, all the text spoken in the lessons) is also available under the Course Materials. This serves as a reference in case you want to go over something again.
What is included in the course?
The course includes the following:
- An introduction and 10 lesson videos (slides and voiceover recording)
- A script of the voiceover recording
- A goals setting page
- A content planner template
- A content tracker Excel template
- Access to the “What the Actual, Instagram?” Facebook group
- A 15 minute page audit call
How long will it take me to take the course?
It will take you around 4 hours to watch through all the video footage of the course. If you want to apply what you learn while watching the course, it will take you longer to get through the material than if you watch all the videos in one go.
How long will it take for me to see results on Instagram?
I cannot guarantee a timeframe for seeing results on Instagram. Results depend on many factors, including the niche you are marketing to, which products or services you provide, whether you had an Instagram page already, whether your business is already established, etc.
However, if you watch through the course videos, you can apply the knowledge you gain straight away and confidently build your page.
Can only women take this course?
Of course not! 🙂 Men can take and benefit from this course as well. I have aimed the marketing of this course at women because women are the target audience of my @deardiary_za Instagram page.
Course membership is individual. It is illegal to share the course content with anyone else. If you would like to watch the course together with a group of friends, in a study group format, please contact me at karin@dear-diary.co.za for a group price.
Can I ask you questions about my Instagram account?
After you have completed the course, you can send me an email at karin@dear-diary.co.za to schedule a 15 minute audit call. In this call, I will give you feedback about your page and you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.
You can also ask questions in the “What the Actual, Instagram” Facebook group. This is a community based group where I encourage everyone who took the course to ask and answer questions.
If you feel that you need even more help with your Instagram page and want to book another call with me, this is available on a limited basis and at an additional fee. Please send me an email at karin@dear-diary.co.za to enquire about this option.
Will you still offer in-person workshops?
At this stage, I have put the in-person workshops on hold.
However, if there is interest in the future for these workshops, I may organise them again in a few months.
I am also considering a “study group” style workshop for ladies who have already completed the course and want to take part in a more hands-on workshop, collaboration style, to edit their Instagram pages.
Can you do my Facebook / Instagram / Meta ads for me?
I do not offer the service of creating and running ads for your business. In this course, you will learn how to set up ads for your business yourself. If you are looking for a company that runs ads for you, I cannot assist you at this stage, unfortunately.
